What are Skafit thermal silver clothing used for?
Skafit clothing with silver yarn are designed for people with chronic skin conditions where reduced circulation and cold related complaints play a role. Examples include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Sclerosis, or Raynaud’s Phenomenon. Thanks to the unique properties of silver, these clothing can stimulate circulation, support skin recovery, and reduce cold related discomfort.

Range
The Skafit range of thermal silver clothing is designed to be as functional and comfortable as possible. Where possible, seams and pressure points have been avoided, so the skin is not further stressed. This makes the clothing highly suitable for sensitive skin.

The range includes:
• T-shirts
• Pants
• Socks
• Gloves
• Hats

How to wear thermal silver clothing
Thermal silver clothing works best when worn as a base layer. For optimal effect, it is important that the silver fits snugly against the skin, maximizing the conductive and reflective properties of the silver. For extra insulation against the cold, wearing additional layers over the clothing is recommended.

Temperature regulating
Silver is a special material in our thermal silver clothing that supports circulation and the skin. The silver yarn works to reflect your body heat back to the skin, reducing heat loss and keeping you warm. Because silver conducts heat efficiently, it spreads warmth quickly over the skin.

Antibacterial
Another important property is its antibacterial effect. Silver can inhibit bacteria and fungi, reducing the risk of infections. It also wicks away moisture, keeping the skin dry. This combination of properties provides warmth, circulation, moisture regulation, and hygiene, protecting the skin effectively.

Washing instructions

Thermal silver clothing can be easily machine washed at 40°C. Avoid using fabric softener or detergents containing softener, as this can insulate the silver yarn and reduce its effectiveness. Air dry only; do not use a tumble dryer. Do not iron the clothing, as this can damage the silver yarn.
